what we've been up to...

LEHI DAYS!!!
Today we went to Lehi Days. It's a cute little Rodeo that our stake puts on each year. They also have delicious BBQ, petting farm, pony rides, etc. The kids LOVED it! Ryan volunteered to work security, hence the fluorescent vest, but he also was able to spend a lot of time with us. Gwen and Drake really got a kick out of the ponies and especially these cute little baby bunnies in the petting zoo that were only five days old! The sun started getting hot, so we let the kids get popsicles and by the time we left, we had a sticky dirty crew!
I really love Saturdays, being able to spend time with my family, get outside, and have fun!

Also, if you couldn't tell from the above slideshow, Ryan's grown a mustache!! This is one of the reasons I love him so much. Sunday I said to him, "you know it'd be really cool if you grew a mustache." And instead of saying something like "gross", or "but it's not 1987 anymore", he said "DONE!" So this week he went without shaving his upper lip to make me happy. Thanks Ryan, you're rad!

Apparently Ryan missed Peter's "Moustaches for a Better World" phase a couple years ago. Gavin participated, you can check out the pics on my blog a couple years back. I think my dad is the only man who doesn't look creepy with a moustache. Well... he and Tom Selek. Sorry RYAN!

Oh, so sad I missed Lehi day's. We could have made some sweet money again selling fry bread :( Ok, and I dont know what it is...but usually when guys grow mustaches, it makes them look like a porn star. Cause really, who grows mustaches any more? But good job Ryan for listening to your wifey.

Isn't it a bit ironic that we, the coolest of the cools, are married to mustache men?

Actually, the stache is becoming popular amongst the artists now (so says my husband.) Why does THIS trend have to come back?

We were there today too! Haylee absolutely loved the pony rides, and kept asking when she would get to ride the big horses and do the barrell racing! We didn't get there until 11:00 or so, so I am assuming we missed you.
Ryan's mustache is crazy. I don't particularly like facial hair (it tickles my lips) but that is cool that he grew it just for you! So kind.
