One of Gwen's favorite things to do is go to the Zoo and going back into the monkey village. When we got there, so many of the monkeys were up so close playing around. And three of the monkeys had babies recently, we saw one. The baby monkey stayed on it's mom's back the whole time, it was so cute! This baby monkey is 13 days old!

Twins or Cousins?

The boys are getting so big! And look Tara, Jack's cracking a little smile in the picture of them on the couch. Today we put them in their little twin outfits and took them to the zoo, and everybody thought they were twins. When we'd tell them that they were actually cousins born on the same day, they thought that was even neater.

After a long Sunday, Drake's tuckered out.

Today was a very special day for our family, dad was finally baptised! We all felt the spirit so stongly, it was so emotional. So here's the family except for Eli who left before we got the camera out, and Ethan who's on his mission.

Gwen is really trying to fight the nap lately. The other day, I tried putting her down for her nap but she played for so long, and was just knocking on her door which is what she does when she wants out. After an hour and a half, it was quiet, so I peeked in to see if she was asleep, she was on her bed and I saw that she had pulled all the clothes out of her drawers. Look close to see her asleep on her bed.

Gwen or Drake?

Last night Ryan and I were looking through old pictures on the computer, and we were shocked at how much Gwen's baby pictures look like Drake. So see if you can figure out who's who? And if you want to try the best ice cream ever, it's out right now. It's Blue Bell's Key Lime Pie, and ooohhh it's so good! It's seasonal so don't wait. I've waited two years for this because I didn't see it last year, and I ate it up when I was pregnant with Gwen.
Okay, we've got Grammy holding Gwenny, then Daddy holding Drake. And we thought it was cute that Gwen had hair on her shoulders, then we thought it was cute too that Drake had hairy everything.

Gwen or Drake?

On the left you've got Gwen and I in the hospital, and Drake on the right in the striped blanket (assuming the pictures are laid out like this when I publish this blog). And then Drake on the left in the hat, and Gwen in the white onesie. Can you believe how much Drake looks like Gwen?

Gwen's decided that she's going to be a princess today. Then she said "picture mommy". I guess because her friend who came over to play yesterday wanted her picture taken, so we got out the camera. And you know Gwen likes to do everything Kendra does. Even go pee pee on the potty. Too bad she doesn't do it when Kendra's not here.

One of Gwen's favorite things to do now is to wrap up in her blanket, but her head HAS to be covered. She say's "it's cold".

Gwen loves her jammies that Grandpa got her because it's a BIG shirt. And when she's wearing it, she points to it and says "Shirt. Big", while shaking her head yes.

Drake's smiling!

He's our smilie little guy! When he's in one of his smiling moods, he is non stop. Gwen loves getting him to smile too. She gets in front of his face, starts shaking her head and says in her little high pitched voice, "hiiiiio, hiiiiio, hiiiiio."

Drake no longer looks like a newborn and is already a big baby! And Gwen is so cute, she's learned about plugging her ears and today, she was carrying around her lunch box and just looking through the handle at me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!

August 16th, Ryan turned 29!! We had friends and family over for a sweet Superman birthday party! It took Ryan several blows to finally get all the candles out. :) hehehe

We took a weekend trip to California August 6-8. Gwen loves the ocean, even though the water was freezing. She had so much fun chasing around the seaguls!

Drake celebrated his first two weeks of life on Earth by taking his first "real" bath, and then lounging around the house in his dog robe.

The Boys are Two Weeks Old!!

Drake and Jack are two weeks old now! And they are growing so fast! At Drake's two week appointment, he weighed 9 pounds 14 ounces!

Drake was sleeping on the boppy and I was in the kitchen making muffins, when I looked in the living room to check on him, I saw that Gwen had pulled him close to her to hug him. Luckily she didn't pull him off the couch!
